This is the third year Regional Acceptance has given the "Auction of the Year" award.

Adesa Houston’s general manager, Steve Swinford said "On behalf of myself, and our staff, we would like to extend our appreciation for recognition as Auction of the Year for 2007. This award is something we’re very proud of, but more important is the relationships we’ve forged with the Regional Acceptance team. Adesa Houston had previously serviced Regional Acceptance’s Portfolio Acquisition Group, before taking on the full product mix that Regional Acceptance offers.

Neil Boardman, Vice President of Recovery and Remarketing for Regional Acceptance Corp. stated "We are very excited to present this award each year to the most outstanding auction we partner with. Adesa Houston has set a new high in servicing and economic returns, which we can only hope will bleed over into all our other auction partners.   Regional Acceptance’s SVP of Special Assets, Scott Collier added "Since becoming one of our business partners, Adesa Houston has grown to be one of our largest and best-performing auctions in the nation and achieving this award demonstrates that. Regional Acceptance and their associates have been very interactive partners to work with and it is this great partnership that allows us all to be successful."

Regional Acceptance Corporation uses approximately 15 auctions and an external remarketing company to sell repossessed vehicles throughout the country. This award is given annually to the winning auction in the first quarter of each year and will also be presented to Adesa Houston at the NAAA convention in late September. Sales results and expenses make up a majority of the criteria for rating the auctions, while customer service and operational effectiveness criteria are used for eligibility requirements.

Special mention should be given to Manheim North Carolina (formally Aycock Auto Auction) of Kenly, NC who finished in an extremely close second place and Manheim’s Darlington Auto Auction of Darlington, SC who rounded out the top three. Darlington AA was the recipient of the 2006 "Auction of the Year" award.
